Is your child going to be age 5 by September 1st? Then it is time to enroll for Kindergarten. Ashland School District enrollment is now open for the 2026-2027 school year.

Come experience the history, flora and fauna of Lithia park in a guided tour led by knowledgeable and passionate volunteers.

Walks run every Saturday and Sunday morning at 10:00am, May through September. Sunday walks begin July 5.

Walks last 90 minutes, are FREE of charge, and are open to locals and visitors alike. Please meet your guide at the front entrance of Lithia Park across from the Plaza.

This program has been running since 1989, and is a fantastic way to immerse yourself in Ashland’s crown jewel.

Get a taste of the "old West" and Jacksonville's gold mining days when you step behind the counter of the oldest financial institution in the Pacific Northwest. The 1863 Beekman Bank Museum, located at 110 W. California Street in Jacksonville, saw over $40 million in gold cross its counters during the town’s heyday in the late 1800s—the equivalent of over $1.5 billion today. Interact with costumed docents sharing stories of late 19th Century banking practices, gold shipping, and handshake deals; step behind the counter and peer in drawers containing old checks, stage schedules, and paperwork; enter the vault that stored all those millions in gold!
Admission is FREE but donations are encouraged with all monies going towards the preservation and maintenance of this historic legacy!

For the 11th season, IN A LANDSCAPE: Classical Music in the Wild tours the American West. Mountain tops, old-growth forests, and sunny meadows replace the traditional concert hall in the series featuring pianist Hunter Noack on a 9-foot Steinway concert grand piano. Listen through wireless headphones and wander afield with the music as a soundtrack to your experience in the wild.

About this Landscape

Valley Flora Farm is an organic farm along the banks of Floras Creek in Langlois, Oregon, operated as a mother-and-two-daughter collective. Founded in 1998, the farm grows hundreds of varieties of vegetables, berries, and fruit using ecological farming practices rooted in crop diversity, composting, cover crops, and rotation. Work on the land is carried out by a small crew using draft horses, one tractor, and on-site solar power. Valley Flora Farm is closely connected to its coastal community, supplying food year-round through its farmstand, local food banks, and a network of stores, restaurants, and cooperatives along the southern Oregon coast.

This event takes place on the ancestral and occupied homeland of the Confederated Tribes of Siletz, including the Tututni peoples.

This concert is presented with the support of the Bandon Dunes Charitable Foundation and Travel Southern Oregon Coast.

A portion of ticket sales will benefit Wild Rivers Land Trust.

Discover the joy of music in this engaging class designed for children 0-5 and their caregivers. This class combines singing, rhythm, movement and sign language. Get ready to sing beloved songs from around the world and make music together in this weekly class! Sponsored by Jackson Care Connect. (Ages 0-5 with accompanying adult -$5 per child ) This class repeats weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Instructor Bio: Laurie Finear has been a music teacher in the Rogue Valley for over 15 years as a certified Music Together teacher. She now creates and teaches her own music classes for children and their caregivers in Ashland and Jacksonville. She is passionate about sharing the joy of music with children and families.

The 2022 farmers market season opens in Siskiyou County Monday, May 16, from 3:30 to 6 pm on East Castle Street in downtown Mount Shasta. Mount Shasta Farmers’ Market is committed to providing a convenient way for community members to buy food directly from growers and producers in a beautiful outdoor setting with live music. An increasing variety of fresh produce, meats, plants, starts, baked goods, spring rolls, tamales, crafts and more will be available every Monday afternoon (except July 4th) until mid-October. MSFM is a Certified Farmers Market that offers free Market Match vouchers to spend on vegetables and fruit, up to $20 per market day, for CalFresh customers who purchase at least $20 in EBT tokens.
