Y’art Sale - September 20th
We’re holding our first "Y'art Sale” - A Children's Art Education Fundraising Party" on Saturday, September 20th. Every penny goes towards our Children's Art Education program. For every $2500 we raise, we can offer another After School Art Club for our budding student artists!
The sale runs 4:00 - 7:00 pm on the gallery’s front lawn, and features a large selection of pre-loved works of art for sale , a raffle, music, fine wine, finger food, and great conversation. Also, starting September 3rd, you can preview the art during regular gallery hours and participate in a silent auction for several pieces of art including a signed Salvador Dali etching. Please join us for this wonderful event.

The Ashland Culture of Peace Commission (ACPC), in collaboration with Southern Oregon University (SOU), will host a powerful community event in celebration of the United Nations International Day of Peace and ACPC’s 10th anniversary of visionary peace leadership. All are welcome—families, students, global peace builders, and neighbors from all walks of life.
The program will feature SOU President Rick Bailey as keynote speaker, with additional reflections from ACPC leaders and uplifting music by the beloved Ashland Peace Choir. This special gathering also highlights the world’s only solar-powered World Peace Flame, a living symbol of unity, hope, and environmental stewardship. Being a special event we will be digitally live streamed globally by Hubcast Media in BC, Canada.

Sean HayesWhat kind of music do you play? Folk, soul, country, in between the cracks, on the edges - roots, rock, reggae. Sean Hayes is a crooner, a wailer and an escape artist. He plays songs to get you dancing, sipping, dreaming and falling.Born in New York, raised in North Carolina, with over 30 years playing music in California’s Bay Area you can hear a bit of all of these places flowing through the songwriting and his singular voice.These influences are reflected in the many different musicians Sean has played with over the years. From singing duets with Aimiee Mann and Frazey Ford to touring with Charley Crockett, Jolie Holland, The Wood Brothers, Ani DeFranco and The Cold War Kids among many others. His songs have been remixed by renowned House DJ Mark Farina and have appeared on NPR, NBC and HBO. Dress it up however you like it’s just a night of good music._____

On Tuesday, September 23 at 4:00 PM, the North Bend Public Library invites teens ages 13–18 to take part in a special outreach event that combines creativity, service, and community spirit. Thanks to funding from the Coos Health and Wellness Protective Factor Grant, the library has purchased stuffed animals and books to assemble and distribute to local children. The stuffed animals will be stuffed, zipped, and paired with a book by participating teens. The completed “Bears & Books” bundles will then be shared with young children in the community, providing comfort and encouraging early literacy.
