The Southern Oregon Lavender Trail is made up of 8 lavender farms in the Rogue and Applegate Valleys. At the height of the lavender bloom, we host our festival weekends!
The lavender is always the star and makes for some stunning family photos but in addition during the festivals you will find lavender plants, lavender products produced by the farms, and u-pick lavender at most of the destinations. In addition, you can expect to find extra events and activities at many of the locations, including food and beverage vendors, wine, cider, live music, kid-friendly activities, lavender-related demonstrations and classes, other vendor booths, and more!
Each farm offers different events and activities, so be sure to visit them all! Find a convenient map on our website to help you plan your trip.
Would you like to know what 19th Century Jacksonville was like? Then plan to stretch your legs in the comfort of morning temperatures at 10am on Historic Jacksonville, Inc.’s guided “Walk through History” tour! Prepare to time travel back to the late 1800s when Jacksonville was the hub of Southern Oregon. Hear how gambling money built a church; how the Civil War ended a successful mercantile partnership; how a saloon housed the county’s first museum; how fire reshaped the town; and how a railroad both destroyed the town and preserved it. These guided walking tours leave from Jacksonville’s New City Hall (the historic Jackson County Courthouse/Jacksonville Museum) at 206 North 5th Street. Tours cover about 1 mile and last about 1 hour. Tours are FREE, but donations are always welcomed—all monies go towards maintaining and preserving historic buildings seen on the tour.

Get a taste of the "old West" and Jacksonville's gold mining days when you step behind the counter of the oldest financial institution in the Pacific Northwest that began as a gold dust office in 1856. The Beekman Bank Museum saw over $40 million in gold cross its counters during the town’s heyday in the late 1800s—the equivalent of over $1 billion today. Interact with costumed docents sharing stories of late 19th Century banking practices, gold shipping, and handshake deals; step behind the counter and peer in drawers containing old checks, stage schedules, and paperwork; enter the vault that stored all those millions in gold! Allow 30 minutes.
July Exhibition at ART ON FIRST: Inner Landscape Paintings - Martina Goldberg
Monday, June 30 - Monday, July 28, 11:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Opening Reception: Friday, July 4, 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Currently featured at ART on FIRST are inner landscape paintings by Martina Goldberg. Working mainly with acrylics, Martina captures visual aspects of landscapes in Mexico combined with a Northern European spirit, taking her expression beyond the limits of her viewers’ eyes. Using just a few visual elements and a limited palette, Martina’s paintings are often dramatically contrasted but also subtly blended, which is her way of interpreting the essence and mood of her compositions, always aiming to evoke in her viewers an inner landscape. She wants her viewers to feel the landscapes, not just see them.
