Is your child going to be age 5 by September 1st? Then it is time to enroll for Kindergarten. Ashland School District enrollment is now open for the 2026-2027 school year.

Campers start the day with a protein breakfast snack, then attend an improvisation class. Following is a Broadway song and dance class. After lunch (bring your own or walk across the street for Food for Lane County's free summer lunch program), campers will learn stagecraft by making props and costumes and memorizing lines and blocking for a one-act play written by one of last year's campers (who was only eleven at the time). Summer camp is for ages 12-18.

Art Presence Art Center and Jacksonville Community Center have partnered to offer an
ALL DAY SUMMER CAMP
Children ages 6 through 11

Dive into four days of creativity and fun! Each day is split into a thrilling half-day at Art Presence and a fun-filled half-day at the Jacksonville Community Center, connected by an escorted midday walk (just four blocks!). You can choose the full experience or enroll for half days only. The cost is just $120 for each four-session, half-day series (Monday through Thursday). Morning sessions spark creativity from 9am to Noon, and afternoon adventures run from Noon to 3pm. Please note: No meals or snacks are provided—pack your own fuel for fun!

July 27 through July 30: Pirate Adventure Camp

Ahoy, mateys! Set sail in the mornings at Art Presence by creating essential gear for adventure! You'll draw daring pirate portraits, design secret treasure maps, build sturdy treasure chests, and engineer cool cork sailboats, all before supervised play at Doc Griffin Park and awesome crafts in the afternoon.

Studio Art Quilt Associates, Inc. (SAQA) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote the art quilt: "a creative visual work that is layered and stitched or that references this form of stitched layered structure."

Over the past 3+ decades, SAQA has grown into a dynamic and active community of over 4,000 artists, curators, collectors, and art professionals located around the world.

Discover the joy of music in this engaging class designed for children 0-5 and their caregivers. This class combines singing, rhythm, movement and sign language. Get ready to sing beloved songs from around the world and make music together in this weekly class! Sponsored by Jackson Care Connect. (Ages 0-5 with accompanying adult -$5 per child ) This class repeats weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Instructor Bio: Laurie Finear has been a music teacher in the Rogue Valley for over 15 years as a certified Music Together teacher. She now creates and teaches her own music classes for children and their caregivers in Ashland and Jacksonville. She is passionate about sharing the joy of music with children and families.

Kids will have a blast in this 4-half-day camp, creating awesome art, cool crafts, and fun summer
memories. We will also enjoy a snack break and supervised play at Doc Griffin Park. This camp
will be led by JCC Youth & Family Programs Coordinator, Sarah Greco.

Ever wonder what the Founding Mothers did to help America win their independence from Britain? The American Revolutionary war wasn’t fought just by the men. Women had a huge impact on the outcome of the war. They fulfilled many roles that were a major contribution to winning the War of Independence, from setting up a national boycott on British goods to working as spies, scouts and even a few as soldiers. Tames brings to life many of these extraordinary women whose, cunning, courage, and creativity helped win the war and shape our country.

In the first half of this program, Tames’ clothing, made from patriotic wool and linen, reflects the hundreds of women who took an active role in the War of Independence. It was a woman who the founding fathers trusted to print the Declaration of Independence with all of their signatures, and it was a woman who disguised those taking part in the Boston Tea Party. Many more worked as spies, scouts and even a few as soldiers. They helped prisoners escape, and defended their property.

In the second part of this program Tames changes into an imported printed cotton gown and talks about the women who did fund raising and kept their farms and businesses running, as well as organizing for food and supplies to get to the ever-moving Continental army. These women refused to accept the limitations placed on them based on their gender. Motivated by their desire to help America become an independent nation, they went above and beyond to help in any way they could, and often in surprising and ingenious ways.
