Come join us for cribbage. We are part of the American Cribbage Congress (ACC) and play 9 games of competitive cribbage every Wednesday night from September to May. $10 buy in and we payout to the top scorecards.

Join the Schneider Museum of Art for “Eons: Unraveling Time,” an exhibition curated by Maria de Los Angeles featuring the work of eleven artists exploring our complex relationship with time. Through painting, sculpture, photography, installation, printmaking, textiles, and video, the exhibition considers time through memory, history, mythology, labor, tradition, and imagination, inviting visitors to slow down, look closely, and consider how the past continues to shape the present. This exhibition will be on view through March 13, 2027.

Featured artists: Ryan Bonilla, Cody Bustamante, Laurel Bustamante, MK Guth, Maria de Los Angeles, Charlene Liu & Isami Ching, Sara Siestreem (Hanis Coos), Gerry Snyder, Alex Valentine, and William Warden.

Admission is always free, with a suggested $5 donation. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free docent-led tours are offered every Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. For more information, contact sma@sou.edu or 541-552-8248.

All are welcome to experience the joy of folk dancing, and enjoy wonderful live music this Friday in North bend. The North Bend Public Library, in partnership with the South Coast Folk Society, invites everyone to join the fun starting at 6:00 Friday evening, January 9th, in their Activity Room. This is the first in a series, so you don’t want to miss it. Folk Dance Night at the Library will be a regular monthly offering every second Friday at 6:00.

This free, social gathering is open to new and experienced dancers. Dance to live music from around the world played by skilled local musicians. Beautiful, beginner-friendly dances will be taught throughout the evening. They are fun to do, and easy to learn. If you can walk, you can folk dance, and folk dancing is so much more fun. Don’t be shy, give it a try.

There’s plenty of room for dancing in the spacious, newly remodeled, North Bend Library Activity Room. And, there is room to sit and enjoy live music when you take a moment to rest. Plus there will be refreshments available during the band break.
This is an alcohol-free and fragrance-free public event. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. For more information about the classes, call Paul Poresky at 541-404-8267.

The Pavel Haas Quartet is revered across the globe for its richness of timbre, infectious passion, and intuitive rapport. Having performed at the world’s most prestigious concert halls and won five Gramophone Awards, the quartet is one of the world’s foremost chamber ensembles. The group was included in BBC Music Magazine’s 10 Greatest String Quartets of All Time. "They represent the best qualities of the Czech tradition — warmth, sonorousness, individuality, intensity; but what’s striking here is their fearless risk-taking, their fervency and the absolute confidence with which they propel you" (Gramophone). The program features Beethoven's String Quartet No. 7 in F Major, Op. 59 no. 1 "Razumovsky" and Dvořák's String Quartet No. 14 in A-flat Major, Op. 105, B.193.

Starting May 3, the heart of downtown Ashland will be home to the Saturday Market, running every Saturday until October 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the 100 block of Oak St. This exclusive one block long market provides healthy options, fresh organic produce, artisan foods, and more every week for the locals and travelers passing through. We encourage everyone to join us in supporting local while cultivating community in Southern Oregon.
