Kick off volunteer month in Eureka! 🌸Join the volunteers of Old Town for a morning of gardening! Help us maintain the planters along 2nd Street on Saturday, September 5 from 9am-10:30am. This month, meet us at the Eureka Visitor Center 108 F St. to work on the brick planters along 2nd St. All supplies are provided.

Stretch your legs in the comfort of morning temperatures while hearing the stories of the people who transformed a gold rush town into the 19th century center of regional government, commerce, and society when you join Historic Jacksonville, Inc. on one of our weekly Saturday 1-hour guided “Walk through History” tours. Tours leave from Jacksonville’s New City Hall at 10am and cover about 1 mile with multiple stops. Guests hear how gambling money built a church; how the Civil War ended a successful mercantile partnership; how a saloon housed the county’s first museum; how fire reshaped the town; and how a railroad both destroyed and preserved the town.
Tours are FREE, but donations are always welcomed—all monies go towards maintaining and preserving historic buildings seen on the tour.

Come experience the history, flora and fauna of Lithia park in a guided tour led by knowledgeable and passionate volunteers.

Walks run every Saturday and Sunday morning at 10:00am, May through September. Sunday walks begin July 5.

Walks last 90 minutes, are FREE of charge, and are open to locals and visitors alike. Please meet your guide at the front entrance of Lithia Park across from the Plaza.

Get a taste of the "old West" and Jacksonville's gold mining days when you step behind the counter of the oldest financial institution in the Pacific Northwest. The 1863 Beekman Bank Museum, located at 110 W. California Street in Jacksonville, saw over $40 million in gold cross its counters during the town’s heyday in the late 1800s—the equivalent of over $1.5 billion today. Interact with costumed docents sharing stories of late 19th Century banking practices, gold shipping, and handshake deals; step behind the counter and peer in drawers containing old checks, stage schedules, and paperwork; enter the vault that stored all those millions in gold!
Admission is FREE but donations are encouraged with all monies going towards the preservation and maintenance of this historic legacy!

American Legion Grants Pass Post 28 located at 206 NW F St @ 5th St, is having 9-Ball Tournaments every Sunday, starting May 10, at 1:00pm. Standard rules, with a $5.00 buy in for 5 rounds.

There will be food and drinks available for sale.

Discover the joy of music in this engaging class designed for children 0-5 and their caregivers. This class combines singing, rhythm, movement and sign language. Get ready to sing beloved songs from around the world and make music together in this weekly class! Sponsored by Jackson Care Connect. (Ages 0-5 with accompanying adult -$5 per child ) This class repeats weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Instructor Bio: Laurie Finear has been a music teacher in the Rogue Valley for over 15 years as a certified Music Together teacher. She now creates and teaches her own music classes for children and their caregivers in Ashland and Jacksonville. She is passionate about sharing the joy of music with children and families.

The 2022 farmers market season opens in Siskiyou County Monday, May 16, from 3:30 to 6 pm on East Castle Street in downtown Mount Shasta. Mount Shasta Farmers’ Market is committed to providing a convenient way for community members to buy food directly from growers and producers in a beautiful outdoor setting with live music. An increasing variety of fresh produce, meats, plants, starts, baked goods, spring rolls, tamales, crafts and more will be available every Monday afternoon (except July 4th) until mid-October. MSFM is a Certified Farmers Market that offers free Market Match vouchers to spend on vegetables and fruit, up to $20 per market day, for CalFresh customers who purchase at least $20 in EBT tokens. Relationship Recovery is a community-based non-profit organization located in Grants Pass, Oregon, dedicated to supporting individuals navigating the complexities of grief and trauma. Our mission is to provide a compassionate and understanding environment where men and women can find solace and the tools necessary to move forward in their healing journey. We have developed a comprehensive program consisting of four classes, each designed to address different stages and aspects of the healing journey.

Support - Meet others with a story to tell and realize that you are not a failure, and more importantly, you are not alone.

Transitions - After telling your story, it’s time to transition from the past and learn from it, forming a new "normal".

Boundaries - Figure out what an appropriate boundary is for family, friends, significant others, and even yourself.

Rebuilding - Work on building better relationships and a whole new life.
