From the psychedelic shores of Southern California comes The Great North Special, an Americana jam band that fuses together a unique blend of country-blues, psych-rock and funk-soul. Beautiful melodies and tight grooves lead the way through their mind-blowing energetic dance party live shows. Their sound is eclectic and compelling with heavy rhythms, harmonized vocals & guitars, and world class keys and organ. Each performance is a soul-driven whirlwind of exploration through improvisation and crowd connection.

Starting May 3, the heart of downtown Ashland will be home to the Saturday Market, running every Saturday until October 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the 100 block of Oak St. This exclusive one block long market provides healthy options, fresh organic produce, artisan foods, and more every week for the locals and travelers passing through. We encourage everyone to join us in supporting local while cultivating community in Southern Oregon.

Art Presence Art Center and Jacksonville Community Center have partnered to offer an
ALL DAY SUMMER CAMP
Children ages 6 through 11

Dive into four days of creativity and fun! Each day is split into a thrilling half-day at Art Presence and a fun-filled half-day at the Jacksonville Community Center, connected by an escorted midday walk (just four blocks!). You can choose the full experience or enroll for half days only. The cost is just $120 for each four-session, half-day series (Monday through Thursday). Morning sessions spark creativity from 9am to Noon, and afternoon adventures run from Noon to 3pm. Please note: No meals or snacks are provided—pack your own fuel for fun!

July 27 through July 30: Pirate Adventure Camp

Ahoy, mateys! Set sail in the mornings at Art Presence by creating essential gear for adventure! You'll draw daring pirate portraits, design secret treasure maps, build sturdy treasure chests, and engineer cool cork sailboats, all before supervised play at Doc Griffin Park and awesome crafts in the afternoon.

Discover the joy of music in this engaging class designed for children 0-5 and their caregivers. This class combines singing, rhythm, movement and sign language. Get ready to sing beloved songs from around the world and make music together in this weekly class! Sponsored by Jackson Care Connect. (Ages 0-5 with accompanying adult -$5 per child ) This class repeats weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Instructor Bio: Laurie Finear has been a music teacher in the Rogue Valley for over 15 years as a certified Music Together teacher. She now creates and teaches her own music classes for children and their caregivers in Ashland and Jacksonville. She is passionate about sharing the joy of music with children and families.

Kids will have a blast in this 4-half-day camp, creating awesome art, cool crafts, and fun summer
memories. We will also enjoy a snack break and supervised play at Doc Griffin Park. This camp
will be led by JCC Youth & Family Programs Coordinator, Sarah Greco.

12:00pm-12:10pm- campers arrive at the Jacksonville Community Center
12:10pm-2:50pm – arts and crafts, games, lunch, and outdoor play
2:50pm-3pm – parent pick-up at the Jacksonville Community Center
