The Humboldt Folk Dancers invite the public to a live music, International Folk Dance Party, Friday, November 7 from 8 to 10:30 p.m. at the Redwood Raks World Dance Studio, 824 L Street, in the Creamery District in Arcata. The event features easy dances and an evening of international music with Chubritza. Cost is $5-10 sliding scale, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Starting May 3, the heart of downtown Ashland will be home to the Saturday Market, running every Saturday until October 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the 100 block of Oak St. This exclusive one block long market provides healthy options, fresh organic produce, artisan foods, and more every week for the locals and travelers passing through. We encourage everyone to join us in supporting local while cultivating community in Southern Oregon.

🌊 Join the City of Eureka, PacOut Green Team, and STIL for the bi-monthly Trash Bash! This waterfront cleanup will take place on December 5 from 9am-10:30am, meet at the foot of Vigo St. next to MOD Pizza.

In this interest session we’ll go over the details and requirements of the 2027 Master Gardener Training Class. Attendance in an interest session is required to become a Master Gardener Volunteer.

The 2027 Master Gardener Training Class will run from January 20th to April 21st. The class will be hybrid – in-person and online. The in-person classes will be held on Wednesdays from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the OSU Extension Office in Central Point.

Through painting, sculpture, photography, installation, printmaking, textiles, and video, the exhibition considers time through memory, history, mythology, labor, tradition, and imagination, inviting visitors to slow down, look closely, and consider how the past continues to shape the present. This exhibition will be on view through March 13, 2027.

Featured artists: Ryan Bonilla, Cody Bustamante, Laurel Bustamante, MK Guth, Maria de Los Angeles, Charlene Liu & Isami Ching, Sara Siestreem (Hanis Coos), Gerry Snyder, Alex Valentine, and William Warden.

Discover the joy of music in this engaging class designed for children 0-5 and their caregivers. This class combines singing, rhythm, movement and sign language. Get ready to sing beloved songs from around the world and make music together in this weekly class! Sponsored by Jackson Care Connect. (Ages 0-5 with accompanying adult -$5 per child ) This class repeats weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Instructor Bio: Laurie Finear has been a music teacher in the Rogue Valley for over 15 years as a certified Music Together teacher. She now creates and teaches her own music classes for children and their caregivers in Ashland and Jacksonville. She is passionate about sharing the joy of music with children and families.
