Dual-resident painter and San Francisco Art Institute alum Patricia Schaefer- Robbins will debut a concurrent solo exhibitions at Nous Restaurant.
The exhibition brings a unique global perspective to Ashland’s art scene. Splitting time betweenstudios in Ashland and London, England, Schaefer-Robbins uses oil and acrylic to weave togetherbotanical themes, still life, pagan traditions, and ancient lore.
At Nous Restaurant, visitors will get an exclusive look at mythical and ritualistic works, including"Offering," and pieces from an ambitious new series of larger-scale panels exploring goddessmythology, such as "Court of the Autumn Equinox" and "Song of the Green Woods."
Discover the joy of music in this engaging class designed for children 0-5 and their caregivers. This class combines singing, rhythm, movement and sign language. Get ready to sing beloved songs from around the world and make music together in this weekly class! Sponsored by Jackson Care Connect. (Ages 0-5 with accompanying adult -$5 per child ) This class repeats weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Instructor Bio: Laurie Finear has been a music teacher in the Rogue Valley for over 15 years as a certified Music Together teacher. She now creates and teaches her own music classes for children and their caregivers in Ashland and Jacksonville. She is passionate about sharing the joy of music with children and families.
The 2022 farmers market season opens in Siskiyou County Monday, May 16, from 3:30 to 6 pm on East Castle Street in downtown Mount Shasta. Mount Shasta Farmers’ Market is committed to providing a convenient way for community members to buy food directly from growers and producers in a beautiful outdoor setting with live music. An increasing variety of fresh produce, meats, plants, starts, baked goods, spring rolls, tamales, crafts and more will be available every Monday afternoon (except July 4th) until mid-October. Pizza for Pollinator Pals is a fundraiser for our Youth education program Pollinator Pals. Each ticket comes with pizza, roasted potatoes, salad, and a drink (beer, cider, wine, mocktail). The event will be hosted at Clyde's Corner in Phoenix and will have a silent auction composed of items generously donated by local businesses! We have developed a comprehensive program consisting of four classes, each designed to address different stages and aspects of the healing journey.
Support - Meet others with a story to tell and realize that you are not a failure, and more importantly, you are not alone.
Transitions - After telling your story, it’s time to transition from the past and learn from it, forming a new "normal".
Boundaries - Figure out what an appropriate boundary is for family, friends, significant others, and even yourself.
Rebuilding - Work on building better relationships and a whole new life.
