Our News & Information service on 1280 AM is down due to an interlock issue between the transmitter and the antenna. We will restore service as soon as possible.

Updated 3/15/24 - We have finally made significant progress finding and executing a solution to the audio delivery technical problems. On Thursday, 3/14 our engineer made necessary configurations to switch to the new data connection. Some additional work is still needed to complete the process, but the timeline for a solution is much shorter, likely just a few weeks out. There will continue to be periods of interruption until the connection is complete and stable.

Thank you! JPR's Fall Fund Drive ended with a bang, surpassing its goal of $120,000. Over 200 JPR listeners participated by making contributions on the final day of the drive, setting a new modern-era record for a last day. Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who so generously supports our work!

In Southern Oregon and Northern California, summer is the season for floating rivers, enjoying music at outdoor festivals, harvesting gardens, and taking jaunts to the coast. For JPR, it’s a season for tracking wildfire activity, covering local events and making progress on the many projects we have underway to improve our mountain-top transmitter sites before the snow flies.

JPR has completed acquisition of two new FM stations that will improve its service in Siskiyou County. Effective immediately, the following FM stations will carry JPR's News and Information Service:KSYC-FM | Yreka | 103.9 FMKHWA | Mt. Shasta/Weed | 102.3 FMConsecutive with the sign-on of these new stations, JPR will discontinue operation of KSYC-AM/Yreka on 1490 AM and its FM translator at 97.9 FM.
