Radio ProducerComing from a small town in East Texas, Kelby McIntosh developed a love for writing from his parents. Inspired by his connection to hip-hop music and BIPOC culture, Kelby relocated from Texas to Northern California in 2018. Now based in Arcata, California, Kelby is a member of the California Local News Fellowship at UC Berkeley, a state-funded initiative to strengthen local news reporting in California with a focus on underserved communities. He has a BA in Mass Communication/Media Studies from the University of North Texas and has reported for KALW in San Francisco. He reports on far Northern California for JPR.
