Evening Instructed Figure Drawing6 sessions, Tuesdays 5–7:30pm, September 9–October 14All skill levels welcome. All media welcome
This class will present an intuitive approach to drawing the nude human figure. We will work from the model, incorporating gesture, observation and imagination to create drawings that enhance and develop your own creative style. Beginners as well as those with experience are welcome. In addition to doing exercises in class, we will look at great drawings of the past to discern the elements that make up their beauty. I will be available to offer guidance and direction as needed, and even homework if you desire.

Did you know that most of Jacksonville's National Historic Landmark District is haunted? Join us for a 1-hour guided Haunted History walking tour and experience the spirits that linger in the town’s historic buildings. Our 6pm and 6:30pm Britt Hill tours share stories of murder, arson, saloons, and Chinatown; our 6:15pm Courthouse tour highlights brothels, epidemics and hangings. Both tours have lots of haunted houses. These tours are not your typical “ghost tours” with special effects. They are history tours about real hauntings resulting from past events. The stories come from people who have actually encountered these restless souls. Tours leave from the Jacksonville Visitors Center at the corner of North Oregon and C streets, cover about 1 mile, and last about 1 hour. Tickets are $10, tour size is capped, and reservations are encouraged. Walk ups are accommodated based on space available. For more information and reservations, visit https://www.historicjacksonville.org/haunted-history-tours/.
