The Tree-O singers are Peggy Maddron, Kathleen Zappelli and Josie Reid with Luanne May on Keyboard. These local educators and musicians have performed at many locations over the years, and they bring their experience and energy to provide an entertaining afternoon. Dace Gregory, cello, and Rachel Palen, piano, share an evening of Musical Moments of Wonder.World-renowned cellist Dace Gregory has performed as a soloist across the USA, Japan, and Europe. Born in Riga, Latvia, and educated at the Moscow Conservatory, her love of music was shaped early by her parents’ deep connection to emotion in sound and the natural world. Moving to Langlois in 2022, Gregory lives on a beautiful ranch with her life partner, Bennett. Festival audiences will remember her from 2024 and from her 2025 return as soloist performing Dvořák’s Cello Concerto in B minor with the orchestra. She recently performed her first duo with pianist Rachel Palen at the Coos Singers Holiday Concert.Rachel Palen was raised in Coos County and spent her early years developing a deep connection to the natural world and enjoying music. Rachel received praise early on for her raw, emotional piano performances. She studied at Southern Oregon University and Stony Brook in New York and became sought after as a performer and accompanist. After a career altering accident, Rachel returned to the coast and worked as accompanist for Coos Bay schools. In 2017, she was diagnosed with leukemia and has worked to continue her music and accommodate daily chemo treatments. In 2025, she and Dace collaborated to provide an outstanding performance for the Coos Singers Holiday Concert. This collaboration brought great joy to the performers and the audience and serves as a testament to the healing power of music.Along with the locally based Swingin’ in the Rain Big Band, under the direction of Stephen Simpkins is composed of musicians with a strong interest in swing music with a desire to pass it on to new generations. The sounds of Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Tommy Dorsey and others, plus favorites from the fifties and early sixties will provide a session of nostalgia and dance music that listeners will want to enjoy time and time again. We may see a few guest artists join the group for this concert.
The Ashland City Band begins their 2026 season at the bandshell in Lithia Park, June 18, at 7:00 PM. The free concerts will be presented every Thursday through August 20. With roots dating back to 1876, the 70-member band has continued its park concerts since the early 1920s and is Southern Oregon’s oldest performing-arts organization. The band plays a variety of original works, transcriptions, marches and musicals, often featuring a guest soloist or ensemble. The Ashland Lions Club will again sell ice cream bars and donate the proceeds to the band programs at Ashland Middle School and High School.

Joe Marcinek: Is he the man with no band or the man with dozens of bands? The answer is both, actually, if the man is Joe Marcinek. Technically, he has no one band. On the other hand, seemingly at a moment’s he can conjure up an all-star lineup for a night or a week. The Indiana guitarist has again cast his net and snared a brilliant quartet.

The Gothard Sisters—Greta, Willow, and Solana—are Northwest-based contemporary Celtic folk multi-instrumentalists, composers, performers, and songwriters. Blending classical training, traditional folk music, and dance, they bring a vibrant love of nature into every performance. They write and record near their home, drawing inspiration from traditions and landscapes from around the world. Over the course of their career, they have released 11 albums and performed more than 2,000 live shows with music that holds broad appeal to listeners of all ages and backgrounds. A beautiful venue with stunning views of the channel entrance to Coos Bay. Beer and wine will be available for purchase at the event, as well as some onsite food offerings. This show is part of the Oregon Coast Music Association's annual Music Festival, and we are proud to be partnering once again to bring world class music to our coastal community.Horse Feathers is an indie-folk band based in Astoria, OR that has been bringing lush arrangements for 20 years. Fronted by Justin Ringle, the band has gone through several transformations during that time, and has developed a truly unique sound born from the Pacific Northwest. With six full-length albums, they have toured the nation and abroad, drawing attention with notable appearances starting early on NPR's Tiny Desk (2009), and KEXP's live (2018) performance series. With an extensive touring history, Horse Feathers has been found and loved by so many, including us here at 7 Devils. Members of the band include Justin Ringle, longtime band member and violinist Nathan Crockett, Luke Ydstie (bass) and Kati Claborn (banjo) of The Hackles and Blind Pilot, along with Halli Anderson (violin and percussion) of River Whyless.
