American Legion Grants Pass Post 28 is having 8-Ball Tournaments every Wednesday, starting on January 14, at 6pm. Straight 8-Ball, bar rules, with a $5.00 buy in. 206 NW F St, Grants Pass. 541-474-6400. There will be food and drinks available for sale. Tournaments will continue on Wednesday nights as long there is interest in them.

GPHS Project Graduation 2026 is sponsoring the annual "Will-A-Thon" to raise money for a safe drug and alcohol free party for the Class of 2026. Participants will consult with one of the following volunteer attorneys to have a basic will, power of attorney, and advance directive prepared. Cost $300 Single, $350 Couple. Calling all dog training enthusiasts! The Learning Lab: Foundations of Marker Training is a 4 day hands-on workshop designed to help trainers, handlers and dog owners refine their timing, observation, clarity and understanding of dog behavior like never before. By the end of the 4 day workshop, you’ll have a new appreciation for the power of clear communication — and a deeper understanding of how to use markers to build precise, reliable behavior with your dog. February 18-21, 2026, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day. Lunch will be provided, along with light snacks, refreshments and coffee.

Instructor Bios: Intrepid travelers, Sue Miler and David Doi, serve on the JCC Board as President and Secretary, respectively. Sue served as senior vice president for programs at the AARP Foundation—overseeing 12 national programs serving over 2 million persons annually. She has over 30 years’ experience in nonprofit leadership including program and volunteer management. David is the former executive director of Rebuilding Together Rogue Valley. He has served the nonprofit sector for more than three decades with 20 years at two national advocacy nonprofits and 10 years as the executive director of national juvenile justice organization.

Casual meetings once a month (except December) to increase awareness of the work Community Works does for survivors of domestic and sexual violence, stalking, and human trafficking in Jackson County, Oregon, and to further the mission of Community Works. Each month we explore new subjects that are educational and offer opportunities for interesting discussion. Along with this, we have project ideas for helping to lift our clients and the community. Community Works is here to bring HOPE, SUPPORT, and EMPOWERMENT to those impacted by violence.
