Klamath Outdoor Science School is offering a series of educational, nature-based summer camps for youth and families. Camps include "Intro to Camp!" (ages 7-9), "Artists & Scientists" (ages 8-13), and "Juniors Family Camp" (ages 3-6 with accompanying adults). All camps are residential and include food and lodging.

The Archaeology Channel International Film Festival is a juried international competition in the cultural heritage film genre, bringing you the world’s best films relating to the human past and our shared cultural heritage. These are great films for the whole family!
Our Keynote Speaker, Dennis Jenkins, will kick off the event at the Festival Banquet, on May 15th at the Gordon Hotel. This is followed by four days of juried films and videos on archaeological and indigenous topics, screened in the Sheffer Recital Hall at The Shedd Institute. The 50th Annual CHVA Car Show in the Park at Red Bluff River Park will be held on Sunday May 19, 2024, 8am to 2pm. It's good old-fashioned fun for the classic car enthusiast. For $20 you can enter your car in one of 16 classes of cars from pre 1930's through 1975. Stock and modified cars are welcome. Trophies in every category.Spectators and visitors attend for free.

Southern Oregon University’s Schneider Museum of Art (SMA) is thrilled to announce its upcoming exhibition, "Moving Pictures: A Survey Exhibition of Works by Deborah Oropallo and Collaborators." Opening April 18 at 5 p.m., the exhibition invites art enthusiasts to delve into the captivating world of Deborah Oropallo and witness her artistic evolution spanning montage, sculpture, installation, and media work.
More than just a retrospective, "Moving Pictures" amplifies Oropallo's artistic journey, shedding light on her significant contributions to contemporary art. Born in Hackensack, New Jersey in 1954, Oropallo received her BFA from Alfred University and her MA/MFA from the University of California at Berkeley. Initially trained as a painter, she seamlessly integrates mixed media techniques such as photomontage, video, printmaking, and painting into her practice.

Come see the incredible sculpture of 2 dynamic artists. Claire B. Jones, from Washington, takes her colorful cloth and creative stitching sculptures to new heights. These 3D sculptures surround you with light as you follow the twirls and swirls of her artwork. Running concurrently are the works of Melissa Thompson from Montana.
