Thursday January 8th 7:00 to 8:00 pm Join Rhiannon Theurer, local psychotherapist and author of The Neurodivergence Workbook for Teens, for a discussion on neurodivergence. More and more people are exploring this empowering framework to better understand how their brains and bodies work. But understanding that you are neurodivergent is only the first step. How do you cope in a world that can be both too much and too little for your senses and emotions? How do you affirm yourself in a world that is often not supportive? Rhiannon’s new workbook draws upon Dialectical Behavior Therapy to offer concrete tools to help teens embrace their neurodivergence, handle difficult emotions, and improve relationships with others — while creating a life that is meaningful for you, on your own terms. The workbook is also useful for parents, teachers, and clinicians who want to better understand neurodivergence. Rhiannon is a neurodivergent licensed marriage and family therapist who has worked with teens and adults in a variety of settings, from crisis work to schools. She runs a private therapy practice in Ashland.

Ashland Scout Troop 112’s 40th Annual Christmas Tree-Cycling Day is Saturday, January 10th. Please have your trees at the curb in front of your house for pick up by Friday evening, January 9th. (This service is for the City of Ashland only)
Troop 112 and its charter organization, the Ashland Lions Club, as well as the Ashland Kiwanis Club, will collect trees to be chipped by the Ashland Parks Department crew and used as mulch in Ashland city parks. Donations for this service help to send our Scouts to summer camp; checks should be made out to Troop 112 (P.O. Box 839, Ashland, OR).
This project benefits the citizens of Ashland, the Scouts of Troop 112, and the environment. The scouts are able to perform a service and the community is invited to support the scouts. Additionally, turning thousands of trees into mulch enhances our parks while sparing our landfills. Thank you to Recology and All in One Rentals for their support to help make this project run smoothly.
