The Humboldt Math Festival is celebrating its 17th “Community Celebration of Mathematics” on April 25th from 12 to 4 at the Redwood Acres in Eureka. It is FREE for math enthusiasts and math phobics of all ages. The festival includes hands-on fun with puzzles, games, Rubik’s cube and Pi Reciting contests, demos and make-&-take activities. Explore math’s connection to science, technology, engineering, and art. Local businesses, clubs, civic organizations as well as Cal Poly and College of the Redwoods will be there to inspire and inform about careers and college information. Hey Southern Oregon!The Williams annual Earth Day celebration will be on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at the SCA in Williams from 1-6pm, with live drumming starting at 12:30pm.This event is a fund raiser for the Williams Community Forest Project, and features live music, delicious food, booths from local groups involved in sustainability, earth stewardship, and more, an all-species parade, face-painting, live drumming, and activities for the whole family. Come dressed up as your favorite creature!The music lineup is on the event flyer, and will include both an adult and a children's choir, local favorites Windsong, Omiza River, and the Frankie Hernanzez Band, an interactive performance from Planet Dance, and more!

Earth-Day celebration Saturday April 25th 2026
The event will be open to the public from 1pm - 6pm at the Sugarloaf Community Association (SCA) land on 206 Tetherow Rd. in Williams, Our theme this year is Collaboration of all Beings. We will share our Unity for the beauty of the Earth and its people who are striving to protect it.
The day will be filled with a host of music and activities for all ages! There will be booths from all over Southern Oregon, spanning a variety of Earth Day-related services and topics. A suggested entrance donation will be $20 and children under 12 are free, Come and have your faces painted to join the Procession of All Species dressed as your favorite plant or animal. Enjoy our lineup of music and Planet Dance and partake in yummy organic food and drink for sale .

A book launch event for Song of Belonging, a multi-generational novel featuring family secrets, a lineage of women healers, and themes of caring for the natural world, will be held on Saturday, April 25 at 2 p.m. at the Copper Plank in downtown Medford. Local author Michelle St. Romain Wilson was inspired to write the story by generations of her French Louisiana family, particularly her grandmothers and great-grandmothers, and the book is the first in a trilogy. The event is free and open to the public. Song of Belonging is available for purchase at local bookstores and online.
All skill levels are welcome to join us for this fiber arts crafting hour. Bring your knitting, crocheting, or other fiber arts project for an hour of crafting camaraderie at the library. Supplies will also be provided for a simple knit or crochet craft for those looking to learn a new project. This group meets the fourth Saturday of the month.
