Parent Project is a 10-week series where we go over topics like improving family relationships, using effective discipline to improve school attendance and performance, reduce substance use and negative peer influences, and how to address destructive behavior. It is an opportunity to meet with other parents in similar situations in a judgement free zone and begin to develop a new support system. When you feel like you have tried everything and nothing is working, we can help.Join us on Tuesdays at the Gene Lucas Community Center beginning September 30th from 6pm-8pm. Dinner and Childcare are provided.707-617-8160
Whether you’re dating, partnered, or somewhere in between, the quality of your relationships often comes down to one thing: Do you feel safe to be your whole self? In this presentation, Joy and Gavin explore building and deepening emotional and relational safety as the foundation for true intimacy. We’ll unpack what attachment styles have to do with your reactions in love, how your nervous system influences connection, and why co-regulation isn’t just for therapy sessions—it’s for everyday life, including those awkward late-night “What are we even doing?” conversations.
We’ll also explore how transparency builds trust, and why balancing the needs for safety, risk, independence, and belonging is a lifelong dance. This is an invitation to come home to yourself and create the kind of connection where you and your partner can exhale. You’ll leave with greater clarity, practical tools, and possibly a few good laughs. After all, if we can’t laugh about love, what can we laugh about?

This 11-week program covers critical topics like wildfire risk reduction, forests, soil health, wildlife habitat, pasture management, stream care, water capture and distribution, and much more.
We have a wide assortment of food available. Bags with staple items are pre-filled, but we will gladly add any special requests if they are available. When you visit, there is always a simple lunch. On the last Wednesday of every month, we serve a pretty darned good hot meal with salad and a huge table filled with pies and desserts. We call it a community lunch. All are welcomed.
