Join the Ashland Gallery Association for Southern Oregon Open Studios!

Taking place on Saturday and Sunday, October 18 and October 19, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.,this is a fun and unique opportunity for visual artists who are based in Southern Oregon to show off their creative realms. These spaces are always one of a kind, and each studio has its own peculiarities in set up and working methods depending on the medium and the artist’s needs. While these places where work is made are as individual as the artist, what they all have in common is the energy of creation. This is the forum where an artist is allowed to freely experiment, develop ideas, and fail or succeed.

Featuring close to forty artists, visitors will have the opportunity to engage with everything from painting, to printmaking, sculpture, glass blowing, and more. Over twenty art demonstrations have been scheduled to take place throughout the day on Saturday and Sunday. There will also be an ‘afterparty’ in which artists and visitors can connect in one central place.

The award-winning OSU Land Steward training helps landowners learn about their property and develop a management plan. This 11-week program covers critical topics like wildfire risk reduction, forests, soil health, wildlife habitat, pasture management, stream care, water capture and distribution, and much more.

Third Saturday: Cigar Memory Boxes with Lauren Card & Pamela Lund

This incredibly fun and imaginative workshop guides you in crafting a personalized memory box from a simple cigar box. It's the perfect way to create a unique haven for your cherished keepsakes and trinkets. We'll provide the boxes and essentials, but bring your most unique treasures – think game pieces, spools of thread, door pulls, and anything else that sparks joy! $15 fee.

Looking for a way to meet new people, learn new skills, and make a difference in your community? The North Bend Public Library invites the public to its Volunteer Fair on Saturday, October 18 from 1:00–4:00 PM. This free event offers the chance to connect with a variety of local organizations seeking volunteers. Attendees can learn about different opportunities, talk directly with organization representatives, and discover ways to share their talents while giving back. The Volunteer Fair is open to all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels. Whether you are looking to develop new skills, support a cause you care about, or simply meet like-minded people, this event is a great place to start.

ANPF will be presenting dramatic readings of 4 new plays for our 2025 Fall Festival: "Tipping Point" by Naya James Sonnad, "In Case of Bruising" by Kamila Boga, "Pretend It's Pretend" by Emma Watkins, and "Better" by Vince Gatton. All performances will take place at SOU's Main Stage Theatre, located at 491 S. Mountain Ave., Ashland. Each performance will be followed by a talkback with the playwright. The performance dates are as follows:

Wednesday, October 15th- "Tipping Point" at 7:30 pm
Thursday, October 16th- "In Case of Bruising" at 1:30 pm; "Pretend It's Pretend" at 7:30 pm
Friday, October 17th- "Better" at 1:30 pm; "In Case of Bruising" at 7:30 pm

Bring the kiddos up to Mt. Ashland dressed up in costume, take a fang-tastic chairlift ride up the mountain and be greeted by our ghostly guests with treats in hand as you walk our haunted trail in the light of day.

With activities in our historic Lodge, food trucks, and more - this is a Halloween event you won’t want to miss!

For kiddos 3+ - minors must be able to load a chairlift on their own or be able to load the lift with assistance from an accompanying adult.
