Join Streets for Everyone for the First Friday Bike Ride (FFBR) each month. This fun, family-friendly ride is a great way to meet and talk with other community-minded bicyclists.
5:00 pm – Meet on the Plaza in downtown Ashland.6:00 pm – Finish right back where we started on the Plaza.
These bike rides happen wind, rain, or shine except when the air quality index, AQI, is at or above 100. We give free Bicycle Benefits stickers to all FFBR riders. They are good for discounts at a growing list of local businesses.
Parents: We ride on streets downtown, so if your child is learning (wobbly and unsteady), we suggest they ride with you on the back of your bike.
First Friday Bike Rides are family-friendly bike rides for people of all ages and abilities. We celebrate every first Friday, all year long, Ashland’s future where it is safe, convenient and efficient to bicycle for short in-town trips from anywhere to everywhere. We have a wide assortment of food available. Bags with staple items are pre-filled, but we will gladly add any special requests if they are available. When you visit, there is always a simple lunch. On the last Wednesday of every month, we serve a pretty darned good hot meal with salad and a huge table filled with pies and desserts. We call it a community lunch. All are welcomed.
Come join us for cribbage. We are part of the American Cribbage Congress (ACC) and play 9 games of competitive cribbage every Wednesday night from September to May. $10 buy in and we payout to the top scorecards.
