Celebrating Food In All Its Glory: Savor

"Don't sell the steak, sell the sizzle," someone in advertising once said. Nice sound (if you like steak), isn't it? We discuss that sound in food preparation and more; every month our food segment, Savor, brings in food stylist and producer Will Smith.

This month we welcome Rafael and Janai Gonzales, the owners of Clyde's Corner, a wood-fired pizza restaurant in Phoenix with some exotic topping combinations. We learn about the owners and their methods and a bit about their dog, Clyde.

Will's recipe of the month is Warmed Olives w/ Garlic and Herbs
(This recipe inspired by Clyde’s Corner)

½ Cup Gaeta olives pitted
½ Cup Castelvetrano olives pitted
1 tsp minced garlic
1 tsp lemon zest
1 tsp herbes de provence
¼ Cup extra virgin olive oil

Place all ingredients in a 6”cast iron skillet, warm either on top of stove or bake 20 minutes in a 400F degree oven.
Serve with toasted bread.
