The recent hot days remind us just how grouchy and out-of-it we can feel in summer heat.

And while the warnings about excessive heat are generally aimed at the very young and very old, it can affect a broader swath of the population.

A recent study out of Harvard University shows that healthy young adults lose some cognitive function and show other adverse signs in extreme heat.  Memo Cedeño is the lead author of the study and our guest.  His full title: Associate Director of the Healthy Buildings program at the Center for Climate, Health and the Global Environment at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
