JPR Live Session: Joseph Huber

Sep 13, 2019

As a founding member of the cult-favorite Americana/alt.Country group .357 String Band, Joseph Huber was already making waves as a talented instrumentalist, singer and songwriter. Following the breakup of that band, he's added recording engineer, record producer, and general jack of all trades to his list of attributes.

The Wisconsin aritst has now released five albums of solo material. The latest, Moondoog, sits firmly in the heart of the current Americana/acoustic music world. From fiddle-based high energy dance numbers, to leave-you-heart-on-the-floor songs, Huber's music spans the spectrum of American roots music.

He was joined in the studio by Eston Bennett on bass, and Billy Cook (another member of .357 String Band) on mandolin and lap steel.
