JPR Live Session: Carsie Blanton

Ways To Subscribe

Blanton's new album Love & Rage brings an air of levity to the ridiculousness of the day-to-day.

After spending a few of her formative years in Eugene, Carsie Blanton bounced around a bit. Most recently, she's been spending time in New Jersey with her band and some close friends and family - a pandemic pod that allowed for good food, good conversation, and band rehearsal.

Blanton's new album Love & Rage continues to display her penchant for putting an entertaining stamp on the absurdities of life. Her songs are full of sass and attitude, and it's something she feels is a major part of her personal brand, having been inspired by the likes of Dolly Parton and Mae West.

As FM Network Program Director and Music Director, Eric oversees many aspects of JPR's broadcast day. He still hosts the occasional Open Air or classical music shift, and is the driving force behind JPR Live Sessions - our popular series of live in-studio music performances and conversations.
