Ways To Subscribe

Singer/songwriter Drew Holcomb of Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors joined us from Nashville to talk about his online approach to reaching fans during the pandemic, as well as his fantastic new album called Dragons.

As the pandemic stretched on, and Holcomb saw his primary income stream drying up, he (with help from his wife and fellow singer/songwriter Ellie, launched the 'Kitchen Covers' series of online videos. What started as a few performances of tunes that were occasionally heard in Holcomb's on-stage sets, because dozens of performances of wide-ranging cover tunes. Fans even got involved, submitting requests for songs that Holcomb could perform.

Holcomb's latest album, Dragons, recorded with his long-time band The Neighbors, showcases some of Holcomb's best work. Songs like End of the World, Family, and the title track earning repeated airplay on JPR and across the country.

He joined us from his home (complete with kids romping around upstairs) to play us a few tunes solo.

As FM Network Program Director and Music Director, Eric oversees many aspects of JPR's broadcast day. He still hosts the occasional Open Air or classical music shift, and is the driving force behind JPR Live Sessions - our popular series of live in-studio music performances and conversations.
