THE WOOD BROTHERS 2019

Oliver Wood, Chris Wood, and Jano Rix joined us from Nashville to share some fantastic live performances of music from their new album called Kingdom In My Mind.

After building out a new recording studio in Nashville in a former dance studio, the trio started improvising and letting ideas flow from ever corner of their imaginations. As it happens, those very first sounds created in the new studio have ended up as one of the songs on the new album.

After years performing as a duo, Oliver and Chris brought Jano into the fold, and his unique skillset as a virtuosic percussionist/drummer and pianist has helped elevate The Wood Brothers to a place where nearly no influence is left unexplored and all three members' unique musical backgrounds combine to forge a stellar new path.

Despite largely working apart during the pandemic on different projects, The Wood Brothers made full use of their new studio during our session (their 5th with us!) to grace us with some out of this world performances.

As FM Network Program Director and Music Director, Eric oversees many aspects of JPR's broadcast day. He still hosts the occasional Open Air or classical music shift, and is the driving force behind JPR Live Sessions - our popular series of live in-studio music performances and conversations.
