JPR Live Session: Mt. Joy

Ways To Subscribe

Mt. Joy had been enjoying a run opening for The Lumineers playing NBA and NHL arenas when the news hit of the pandemic-caused shutdown. Since then, Quinn and his bandmates have been scattered across the country - Quinn and guitarist Sam Cooper in Philadelphia, bassist Michael Byrnes and drummer Sotiris Eliopoulos in Los Angeles, and keyboardist Jackie Miclau in Portland.

The band just released their sophomore effort called Rearrange Us, and were poised for a run of headline dates across the United States. Instead, they, like many performing artists, have had to figure out how to make a splash via remote technology. Despite their physical distance, they assembled live versions of a few songs from the new album one part at a time to share with us.

As FM Network Program Director and Music Director, Eric oversees many aspects of JPR's broadcast day. He still hosts the occasional Open Air or classical music shift, and is the driving force behind JPR Live Sessions - our popular series of live in-studio music performances and conversations.
