“Artists in Action Festival with 30-40 Artists Demonstrating their Crafts & Live Music”The sidewalks in Historic Downtown Weaverville will come alive with activity on Saturday, Sept. 13. From 11 am to 3 pm, 30 to 40 artists will demonstrate glass work, painting, ceramics, batik, wood carving, metal work, repurposing junk into treasure, and more during the Trinity County Arts Council's ARTISTS IN ACTION FESTIVAL. The band Hooda Thunkitt will set the tempo playing blues and rock on the UpNorth Deck from noon to 3pm. Kids activities will occur at many locations including Mountain Goat Kids and the Trinity Theater. Sink your hands into clay and try throwing a pot or experience the ancient art of batik. The County-wide Yard Sale is the same Saturday, so the town will be buzzing with activity. Bring the family and experience the ARTS !

She serves as Jacksonville Garden Club’s First Vice President. Heidi is a Certified Morning Altars Teacher and Practitioner. She loves life here in Jacksonville and is happy to call it home.

This class will present an intuitive approach to drawing the nude human figure. We will work from the model, incorporating gesture, observation and imagination to create drawings that enhance and develop your own creative style. Beginners as well as those with experience are welcome. In addition to doing exercises in class, we will look at great drawings of the past to discern the elements that make up their beauty. I will be available to offer guidance and direction as needed, and even homework if you desire.
