The 2022 farmers market season opens in Siskiyou County Monday, May 16, from 3:30 to 6 pm on East Castle Street in downtown Mount Shasta. Mount Shasta Farmers’ Market is committed to providing a convenient way for community members to buy food directly from growers and producers in a beautiful outdoor setting with live music. An increasing variety of fresh produce, meats, plants, starts, baked goods, spring rolls, tamales, crafts and more will be available every Monday afternoon (except July 4th) until mid-October. MSFM is a Certified Farmers Market that offers free Market Match vouchers to spend on vegetables and fruit, up to $20 per market day, for CalFresh customers who purchase at least $20 in EBT tokens. All are welcome to experience the joy of folk dancing, and enjoy wonderful live music this Friday in North bend. The North Bend Public Library, in partnership with the South Coast Folk Society, invites everyone to join the fun starting at 6:00 Friday evening, January 9th, in their Activity Room. This is the first in a series, so you don’t want to miss it. Folk Dance Night at the Library will be a regular monthly offering every second Friday at 6:00.
This free, social gathering is open to new and experienced dancers. Dance to live music from around the world played by skilled local musicians. Beautiful, beginner-friendly dances will be taught throughout the evening. They are fun to do, and easy to learn. If you can walk, you can folk dance, and folk dancing is so much more fun. Don’t be shy, give it a try.
There’s plenty of room for dancing in the spacious, newly remodeled, North Bend Library Activity Room. And, there is room to sit and enjoy live music when you take a moment to rest. Plus there will be refreshments available during the band break.This is an alcohol-free and fragrance-free public event. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. KB Piano Duo's founding members, pianists Ivona Kaminska and Christopher Bowlby have established themselves in the Pacific Northwest and internationally as a sought-after piano duo team, as soloists, instructors of gifted students, and as clinicians and lecturers as prestigious festivals. Co-founders of the Seattle International Piano Festival ("SIPF"), they have changed the musical landscape in the Northwest, bringing international artists and talent of all ages from abroad to the audiences of Seattle. Together, they also created the Chopin Academy of Music in Issaquah in 2005, which today is a renowned institution for those seeking great education and performing opportunities.

Ludmil Angelov, born in Varna, Bulgaria, is an internationally acclaimed pianist and graduate of the Pancho Vladigerov State Music Academy in Sofia. A prizewinner at major competitions including the Chopin Competition (1985) and Piano Masters in Monte Carlo (1994), he has performed worldwide in leading venues such as the Berlin Philharmonic, Vienna Musikverein, and New York's Lincoln Center. Renowned as one of today's foremost interpreters of Chopin, Angelov has presented complete cycles of the composer's works to critical acclaim and frequently appears at major Chopin festivals. He has recorded extensively for top labels, earning the Grand Prix du Disque from the Chopin Institute. He is the founder for the Paino Extravanganze Festival and a recipient of numerous honors, including Poland's Gloria Artis Medal. Angelov serves as Professor Emeritus at the New Bulgarian University and is regularly invited to jury prestigious international piano competitions.
