The 4th International Conference and Expo on Lasers, Optics & Photonics (OPTICS2025) will be held during November 24-26, 2025, in Paris, France. OPTICS is an established event, attracting global participants intent on sharing, exchanging, and exploring new avenues of lasers, optics, and photonics-related research and latest developments. The event will feature world-class (highly cited) Plenary Speakers, established Keynote Speakers, active Invited Speakers, and fresh Contributed Speakers. Additionally, a variety of poster presentations, workshops, and special sessions will engage the audience.

The award-winning OSU Land Steward training helps landowners learn about their property and develop a management plan. This 11-week program covers critical topics like wildfire risk reduction, forests, soil health, wildlife habitat, pasture management, stream care, water capture and distribution, and much more.

The 2022 farmers market season opens in Siskiyou County Monday, May 16, from 3:30 to 6 pm on East Castle Street in downtown Mount Shasta. Mount Shasta Farmers’ Market is committed to providing a convenient way for community members to buy food directly from growers and producers in a beautiful outdoor setting with live music. An increasing variety of fresh produce, meats, plants, starts, baked goods, spring rolls, tamales, crafts and more will be available every Monday afternoon (except July 4th) until mid-October. MSFM is a Certified Farmers Market that offers free Market Match vouchers to spend on vegetables and fruit, up to $20 per market day, for CalFresh customers who purchase at least $20 in EBT tokens. We have developed a comprehensive program consisting of four classes, each designed to address different stages and aspects of the healing journey.

Support - Meet others with a story to tell and realize that you are not a failure, and more importantly, you are not alone.

Transitions - After telling your story, it’s time to transition from the past and learn from it, forming a new "normal".

Boundaries - Figure out what an appropriate boundary is for family, friends, significant others, and even yourself.

Rebuilding - Work on building better relationships and a whole new life.

California artist and writer John Michael Keating will be talking about and signing copies of his book, Double Vision, Waking Dreams, on Monday, 24 November at Bloomsbury.
This beautiful book of watercolors and oils is about visions and stories about them. There are landscapes, cityscapes, and dreams from Reykjavik to Barcelona to San Francisco and beyond. And stories about the images, with references to William Blake and Rilke, Virgil, and Juan Ramón Jiménez.
Join us for an hour of sights and insights into the world of an unusual artist.

Nominations are open for the Civic Contribution Award, which will be presented at State of the Community Luncheon this spring. This prestigious award honors a group or individual that has provided exceptional community service or made an important contribution to the Humboldt County community.
