Starting May 3, the heart of downtown Ashland will be home to the Saturday Market, running every Saturday until October 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the 100 block of Oak St. This exclusive one block long market provides healthy options, fresh organic produce, artisan foods, and more every week for the locals and travelers passing through. The longest running Ski & Gear Swap in Southern Oregon is returning in 2025.
For nearly 50 years, the Ashland Ski Swap has outfitted Rogue Valley families with affordable and quality gear for the outdoors. The event is managed by Indigo Creek Outfitters with help from the Southern Oregon University Outdoor Program. The event inspires local outdoor adventures by providing outdoor equipment at an outstanding value.
🌲 Sequoia Park Ivy League is back for another pull! 🌲📚 We have our own Ivy League in town and it’s not what you think. Instead of hitting the books, we are hitting the park to eradicate invasive ivy from our beloved Redwood forest.⛲ Drop into the park anytime between 9am and 1pm on Saturday, December 13. Talent Food Project is part of the green bag project. We collect food the 2nd Saturday of every even numbered month. We will hold a food collection event to supplement the food collected through the green bag project. Now in its 35th year, this beloved Southern Oregon Coast tradition is hosted by the Cape Blanco Heritage Society. The celebration begins with an Open House on December 13. Main Street Teas will be held December 19-21. A Holiday Music Concert takes place December 20 and 21, marking the 155th anniversary of the first lighting of the Cape Blanco Lighthouse’s lamp in its first order fresnel lens on December 20, 1870.
Enjoy the sights and sounds of holiday trains at the Rogue Valley Mall again this year from the Medford Garden Railroaders. This club from the Medford Railroad Park will showcase its holiday model railroad layout on the first floor of the Rogue Valley Mall, 1600 N. Riverside Ave., Medford, near the Kohl's department store. Trains will operate from Black Friday, Nov. 28, through Dec. 31 during mall hours. Admission is free; donations are appreciated. The park’s 46th annual festive winter tradition will be celebrated on Saturday, December 13 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.The public is invited to join us for a day of festivities, music, and making ornaments and gifts:• Enjoy living history demonstrations, with staff and volunteers dressed in 1850s clothing to greet visitors.• Visitors can make handmade gifts, including tin punch, pomanders, candles, tops, sachets, and rag dolls.• Warm wassail and treats will be served.• Local musicians will provide entertainment.• Children will clamor to break a traditional Christmas bag!Holidays on the Homestead is fun for families and friends of all ages.
