As the COVID pandemic loses some of its punch, at least for now, attention turns to another ongoing health crisis: addiction. Alcohol, opioids, and street drugs are all being abused at high rates across the country.
Oregon is having issues getting a handle on the situation, ranking high in addiction rates and low in providing access to addiction treatment. The difficulties have been noticed by Oregon Recovers, a statewide coalition, and Reclaiming Lives/Recovery Café based in Medford.
