Step away from the desk: the benefits when you 'Move'

Health officials have been talking for more than a decade now about the dangers of spending so much time sitting down.

"Sitting is the new smoking" became the slogan for the problems with doing what many of us do: sit at a desk for eight hours a day. You don't have to take up ballet to counteract the effects of sitting, but some ambulation is called for.

Science journalist Caroline Williams covers the benefits to body and brain in her book MOVE: How the New Science of Body Movement Can Set Your Mind Free.

The author visits to talk about some of the concepts and their payoffs.
