Job burnout or living your dream, must we choose?

There are plenty of people who study burnout, the way people tend to get disenchanted with their jobs and lose interest.

Jonathan Malesic took up the topic after he experienced it himself, burning out while working as a tenured university professor. But... isn't that a dream job? Yes, for many people.

Hard and soft sciences are used to explore what happens to people in Malesic's book The End of Burnout: Why Work Drains Us and How to Build Better Lives.
