Living again after medical trauma: 'Finding Forward'

Jeffrey Morse always had a sense of adventure, but his greatest challenge came in re-conquering his own body.

A series of medical mishaps left him mostly paralyzed and in pain. So he had to learn to walk again, among other things... really, how to live in the new reality his body demanded.

Morse's story of pushing through the adversity is told in his book Finding Forward.

The author talks about simple joys, like tying shoelaces; and larger accomplishments, like paragliding off a mountain in Nepal, feeding a vulture in flight.
