If you have an aquarium at home, do you eat fish for your meals? If so, is it out of sight of the fish in your house?

Our feelings about animals can seem contradictory when you examine them. We put big bucks into animal conservation--think elephants--and yet spend even more supporting the beef industry.

Social psychologist Melanie Joy dove into the contradictions in her book Why We Love Dogs, Eat Pigs and Wear Cows, newly released in paperback for its tenth anniversary.
