Oregon officials say they'll fight to protect state-regulated cannabis businesses from federal prosecution but offer no strategies.

Call it cannabis or marijuana, but it's a big cash crop in the region right now, bigger than it should be.

Jackson County Commissioners recently declared a state of emergency and appealed to the state for help in managing illegal grows, as well as hemp farms that are growing plants high in THC--which makes it NOT hemp.

Pam Marsh, who represents a big chunk of Jackson County in the legislature, holds a community form on the illegal activity this week (October 26th).

Rep. Marsh visits the following day to give a sense of where things stand on getting the situation under control.
