Siskiyou Seeds Grows Up On The Ground Floor

Siskiyou Seeds

Don Tipping founded the family seed farm in Williams

There are lots of approaches to agriculture in the world today, from the high tech/high chemical to the antithesis of that.

Siskiyou Seeds in Williams prefers the latter approach, working in the non-GMO and organic/biodynamic space, growing plants to provide seeds for many heirloom crops. Don Tipping got the place started with his family back in 1997; he joins us on this month's edition of our business/entrepreneur segment, The Ground Floor.

Cynthia Scherr produces the segment, and Don Tipping chats with JX Senior Producer John Baxter about the mission of the seed farm, its climatic challenges, and its growth over the years.
