It's been said before, but bears repeating: from the beginning of the COVID pandemic, Jackson County had never had more than 600 new cases in a single week. That changed with the delta variant and the resurgence of the virus.
In the five weeks starting in late July, new cases set records four times, hitting 1,947 in the last full week of August.
Dr. Jim Shames, Jackson County Medical Director, is back to weekly Q&A sessions, as long as the danger remains high. Ask your question at 800-838-3760 or JX@jeffnet.org.
