Climate Change Puts Added Pressure On Native Plants And Animals

Oregon Spotted Frog

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service put Franklin's bumblebee on the Endangered Species List this week. It's yet another creature imperiled--if not already extinct--by a variety of factors, climate change included.

Southern Oregon Climate Action Now focuses on those climate impacts on native plants and animals in its upcoming monthly meeting (August 27th).

Michael Parker from the Biology Department at Southern Oregon University and John Villella from Siskiyou Biosurvey are the presenters at the Zoom meeting.

They check in with the JX for a preview.
