Artwork To Tell The Story Of Climate Change

The Atlas of Disappearing Places
The Atlas of Disappearing Places

If the words and numbers will not convince people that human-caused climate change is real, how about pictures?

That's the basic proposition of The Atlas of Disappearing Places, by Christina Conklin and Marina Psaros.

There are plenty of words in the book, but they complement artwork by Conklin, who uses maps and other visual aids to tell the story of where parts of the world are heading: in some places, underwater.

The effects will be felt by people at the water's edge and far beyond, as well.

Christina Conklin visits to talk about the work and the vast subject it addresses.
