JX Debuts Mental Health Segment With A LEAP

Mental Health

Pretty much every person on Earth will have some kind of physical health event, requiring a band-aid, a doctor visit, or a hospital stay.

But mental illness is not so widespread, or at least not as often treated.

Over time we better understand the needs of people dealing with mental illness, through programs like LEAP: Listen-Empathize-Agree-Partner.

We begin a regular segment on mental illness and treatment, in partnership with NAMI-Southern Oregon (NAMI: National Alliance on Mental Illness).

Andra Hollenback from NAMI-SO joins us, along with James Ramirez, a NAMI national trainer and teacher, plus Bob Krulish, a LEAP instructor and author of "When Screams Become Whispers."

Link: Bob Krulish leads a Zoom session on LEAP on August 14th.
