Oregon's Child Health Ranking

Right smack in the middle of the pack. That's where Oregon showed up--number 25--in the annual rankings of child well-being put out by the Annie E. Casey Foundation. California was not far behind, at number 33.

We focus on Oregon, which showed some measures that were improving head south during the pandemic.

The analysis comes from Our Children Oregon, which focuses on many of the measures included in the Kids Count Data Book.

Jenifer Wagley is the Executive Director of OCO and our guest, along with OCO's
Chris Coughlin, who is Policy, Advocacy and Engagement Coordinator.

Extra link: families that do not file taxes can still get the temporary federal Child Tax Credit.
