Once a climate change skeptic, always a climate change skeptic.
It's an oversimplification, but it's also the gist of a study performed by a team led by Grant McDermott, who teaches economics at the University of Oregon.
McDermott used mathematical principles to study resistance to the reality of climate change. Basically, the stronger the skepticism, the more likely the person is to hold onto those beliefs for years to come.
Enviornmental economist Grant McDermott visits to flesh out the details of the findings.
