Yurok Tribe Prepares To Launch Condors This Year

Chris West / Yurok Tribe

California condors once roamed the skies over the redwoods, but it's been a long time. The species crashed, and it took a captive breeding program to revive it.

The Yurok Tribe worked with federal agencies to reintroduce condors to the region, and got approval. So later this year, condors will be released on the North Coast.

Several guests lay out the vision and the details: Tiana Williams-Claussen and Chris West from the tribe, and David Roemer from Redwood National and State Parks.
