Siskiyou County Gets A Wolf Pack (Maybe)

OR-7 started all of this for California. He was the first wolf in generations known to wander into the state, even if he did wander back to Oregon to begin his mating life.

Now another wolf, OR-85, and his mate have apparently settled down in Siskiyou County. With so many cattle in the county and wolves' taste for beef, there could well be conflicts ahead.

Kent Laudon from California Fish and Wildlife is keeping an eye on wolf activity from his office in Redding. He visits with details about wolf management generally and the new Siskiyou wolves specifically.
