CVC Covers The Re-Energizing Of Klamath Dam Removal

Iron Gate Dam on the Klamath

The Klamath River dams are made of concrete and steel, but their fate will be decided by flesh and blood humans.

The people who want the dams to die so the river can live anew went to the top: Warren Buffett and the executives of Berkshire Hathaway, parent company to dam owner Pacific Power. Removal opponents convinced a couple of executives to see for themselves the issues created by the dams.

And the story of the encounter with dams, river, and protestors is told in a recent entry in the Community Voices Coalition project in Humboldt County. Thaddeus Greenson of the Lost Coast Outpost visits with details of the story.
