Oregon Energy Expert Examines Obstacles To Green Power

Wind turbines dot the landscape in Mojave, Calif. The recent extension of federal tax credits is expected to give the wind and solar energy industries a big boost.

Jack Kerfoot grew up in the heartland of America's oil industry, so it's no surprise that's where he made his career. But now working for himself and living in Oregon, Kerfoot keeps his eyes open to all kinds of energy sources and opportunities.

He talks about moving toward clean and green energy, but takes note of the obstacles, including government, that get in the way.

We pick Jack Kerfoot's brain about his perceptions of the issues and opportunities of green energy.
