Oregon Coast Residents Envision Forests Free Of Spraying

U.S. Fish and Wildlife

Some of the most productive forests in the world lie on the ridges of the Oregon Coast. And the companies growing trees for sale work the land hard to keep producing. Too hard, in the eyes of some coastal residents.

Issues with helicopter spraying of pesticides in the region are well-documented, and the Spray Free Coast campaign of Coast Range Forest Watch is determined to heighten awareness of the spraying and get the community talking about the current practices and alternatives.

Co-directors Dan Pennington and Teresa Bird guide us through the goals and practices of the campaign.
