There never seems to be purely positive news about the pandemic. Case in point: the day the Oregon Shakespeare Festival announced optimistic plans for a theater season, Jackson County announced a doubling of new COVID-19 cases from the previous week.

Dr. Jim Shames is the Medical Director at Jackson County Health and Human Services. He visits once a week to catch us up on COVID-19 issues and current concerns; he'll catch us up recent mass vaccinations and pending in-person school resumptions.
